In 2012, he was awarded Young Designer of the Year at the Dutch Design Awards. Today, BYBORRE is a landmark studio filled with a wide range of machines and a team of specialists from all corners of the textile industry.

TOGETHER TO
INNOVATE.

The collaboration with ByBorre, the most important textile innovation studio in the world, based in Amsterdam, comes from a deep conviction: innovating should not be limited to working with famous personalities or with the most fertile minds of the contemporary design world, but rather it should lead the company to rethink the whole manufacturing process from the very beginning, with a new and radical approach, combining quality and sustainability at the very highest level.

A WORLD-UNIQUE
3D™ FABRIC.

Natuzzi and the Dutch studio have created an exclusive fabric that embodies the heart and soul of Puglia, the inspirational muse of the thinking underpinning Natuzzi’s whole business strategy. A world-unique 3D™ fabric with a pattern that recalls the ever-changing dynamics of water, and pays homage to the Mediterranean, whose waters - like a bridge - have united and connected countries, peoples and cultures for thousands of years, creating a lifestyle in harmony with nature, beauty and people.

BYBORRE® for NATUZZI ITALIA

Available in five colourways, WATER is a double-sided fabric that uses a combination of different yarns on the front and back side. The front side of the knit which becomes the face side of the fabric which will be on display, is a yarn combining wool with synthetic fibers - it has a high performance quality for upholstery use as it has an exceptional abrasion resistance due to a special developed technology.

The back side is not seen, but it is no less important as it is equally responsible for the farbic’s strength, rigidity, and drape.

BYBORRE®
for NATUZZI ITALIA

This side is made with a recycled polyester yarn obtained from post-consumption plastic bottles locally produced in northern Italy. Recycled polyester requires fewer processing stages and consumes less energy during the production process, resulting in a considerable reduction in carbon emissions compared with virgin polyester. Using this fiber on the backside of the fabric adds to the durability and suitability for upholstery. For sofas and armchairs with unparalleled aesthetics and functionality.

BEING THE FIRST HOME DESIGN BRAND IN THE WORLD TO COLLABORATE WITH THEM IS A GREAT SOURCE OF PRIDE, AND DEMONSTRATES HOW MUCH NATUZZI’S STRATEGIC AND CREATIVE VISION IS PROJECTED FORWARD.
