The jury praised the design for its successful collaboration between architect and client, extensive use of steel for lightweight, light-filtering walls, and strong environmental analysis.

The project intent was to extenuate the historical and contemporary elements of the building. The core of the house is the lounge area, which benefits from different forms of light throughout the day, and hosts the kitchen, dining and living area in a very fluid atmosphere. A playful set of Wave seats by Natuzzi Italia, along with a Vortex rug, were chosen for its palette of textures and colors that enhance the mood that the shadows create.
