Andrea Steidl graduated in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Milan with a thesis on “Gratuity” which he achieved in 2004. Moving to Milan he entered Patricia Urquiola's studio where he assumed the role of head of design. In 2016 he designed his first personal project and subsequently co-founded \ar-o\ studio with Raquel Pacchini with whom he deals with product design, communication, strategic consultancy and art direction projects.

He considers design an act of discovery that renews itself, continually changing the point of view, trying to introduce languages and functions that create an assonance between different worlds in a new aesthetic and use synthesis.
He develops projects through a dialogue of use and function, materials and forms. Actually, he has designed for many Italian and international brands whose products have been published in several international magazines including Wallpaper, Elle Decor, Ideat, to name a few and won the Archiproducts Design Award in 2019 and 2023. He has always had particular attention to design training and has dedicated himself to it in recent years through helding courses at the Polytechnic of Milan, Domus Academy and NABA.
